A DREAM ON SAUVIE ISLAND
Surreal. Serene. Sensational. Nestled back on Sauvie Island down a winding lane sat Katie and Josh’s private land and home. Surrounded by gardens and fields, and twinkling with string lights, it was perfectly converted to a festive wedding venue. The Oregon sky threatened rained but instead opted to offer perfect lighting for a magical day. Handcrafted wedding labels covered beer bottles that sat in the sand kissing the Columbia River, where bean bags were tossed and a bonfire was crackling. The chefs labored over the outdoor barbecue, whipping up some of the most delectable food we’ve had. Being at Katie and Josh’s wedding felt instantly like being family. It was so easy to understand why every friend and family member present oozed such love and appreciation for them. We left only wishing that somehow we could have slowed down time and do it all again.
